Come out and join us for our annual Neighborhood Cleanup as part of Albuquerque's Great American Cleanup event.

We'll meet at Rotary Park at 9:00 this coming Saturday to determine the areas we want to hit. We will provide bags and transport the picked up materials to the pick-up spot in the neighborhood that we have arranged with the City. This was a great event last year and we made tremendous progress in making our neighborhood a nicer place to live for all of us.

  • When: Saturday, April 29, 9:00 am to Noon
  • Where: Rotary Park (map)
  • Bring: A hat, sunscreen, and gloves.

Kicking off our 2017 HEAR membership drive

In the coming days you will receive your 2017 HEAR membership form in the mail. Your $25 dues payment for the calendar year of 2017 help cover the costs of our neighborhood security patrols, monthly cleanup work, fees associated with our website, printing and mailing of our neighborhood newsletters and membership reminders and the costs of our twice-yearly general membership meetings.

For the past several years our membership numbers have not been sufficient to cover the costs of our security patrols and we have been able to sustain them because of a surplus in our accounts that built up prior to initiating the patrols. This is not sustainable, and we must continue to increase our membership beyond the 550 in 2016 (out of the 1240 households in our neighborhood) to cover this expense. If we can't do this, we cannot sustain this service in the long run. If you value this service (and we've heard from many of you that you do) Please Join Now - Don't Wait.

It's easy to join/renew - just go to our simple online membership page and fill out the online form and either securely pay by credit card or mail your check or money order to the address on the page. If you prefer to print a hardcopy form and mail in your check you can download, print and mail our membership form with your check to the address on the form.

Thanks for your continuing support of HEAR,
Karl Benedict, HEAR President
